To put it simply, we love what we do. We have a passion for helping people and want to share our knowledge of health and fitness with you to help you achieve your goals. Transformations, both physical and emotional, motivate and inspire our staff. We’ve helped many people quite smoking, recover from eating disorders, and just plain feel better. We see your goals, as our own, and put our full effort into helping you achieve them.
Professional Level Coaching
We don’t just love fitness- we’re also highly educated in our field of study. Owners, Tara Krieger and Doug Acker have over 30 years combined experience in the health and fitness industry and hold a laundry list of certification and seminar credentials. But don’t worry, unlike many other facilities, you won’t learn from 15 of their junior coaches; instead, you’ll learn directly from our experts. Doug & Tara coach the majority of classes to help ensure that you always get the same level of experience and instruction. This consistency also allows us to get to know you on a personal level. No need to explain medical conditions, nagging pains, or difficulty with learning a new movement to variety of people- we’ll know your fitness inside & out.
Community Support
Not only does our staff care about your progress- your fellow members do too. At CrossFit South Shore- we are a team. We sweat together, struggle together & triumph together. Every January we even diet together and push each other to reach our New Year goals. But it’s not all work and no play. We also party & celebrate together! Every year we hold at least four large social events and many smaller ones. These events are where you’ll get to know people who are part of your gym family, but don’t necessarily workout at the same time as you. They’re also a time to have a good time with your coaches and new gym family.
